practice
We are able to book appointments via
telephone or in person between the hours of 8am
– 6.30pm or at any time via the internet. If you
would like to book via the internet you will
need an online access account, you can download
a variety of apps that will do this including
the NHS App. Please ask receptionists for more
information. You will need to provide photo id
to access this service.
We are able to take requests for
prescriptions via email, in person or, ideally,
via your Chemist, who will be happy to manage
your repeat prescription requests. If you have a
pin number (see above) you can order repeat
medication via our website.
GP consultations – pre-bookable and same day
appointments, minimum 10 minutes per
appointment.
Selection of extended hours, pre-bookable
appointments with nurses and GPs early morning
from 7.30am and late evening appointments until
7.15pm. Various days of the week depending on
clinician.
Practice nurse consultations for monitoring
and review of patients with any of the following
conditions; diabetes, coronary heart disease,
asthma and COPD monitoring and review, stroke &
TIA, hypertension, weight management problems.
We also offer:
- 4YP – sexual health service for young
people
- Anti coagulation service for patients on
medication such as warfarin
- Cervical screening
- Child health surveillance
- Childhood immunisation programme
- ECGs & in-house monitoring for patients
with possible Atrial Fibrillation
- Emergency contraception advice and

- Fitting, monitoring and removal of coils
- Health checks and support for Carers
- Health checks for patients with learning
difficulties
- In-house minor surgery service
- In-house phlebotomy service for adults
and children
- Injections and vaccinations – eg
seasonal flu/vitamin D/B12
- Insertion and removal of contraceptive
implants
- Insulin conversion for diabetic patients
- Early diagnosis and treatment for
patients with memory problems/dementia.
- Management and support for patients with
alcohol or drug misuse problems
- Near Patient Testing – (monitoring of
patients taking certain drugs such as
methotrexate)
- NHS Health checks for patients aged
40-75
- Routine BP checks
- Some private services such as HGV
medicals and private medical reports.
- Steroid Injections
